Vehicles Stranded Due To Heavy Rains In Hamden: Fire Officials

HAMDEN, CT — Several vehicles are stranded along Dixwell Avenue in Hamden due to the heavy rains, according to fire officials.

Officials said the stranded vehicles are particularly near the Canal Line overpass and Mix Avenue in front of the Lou Astorino Hockey Rink.

“Please avoid these areas if possible,” officials wrote in a post on the Hamden Fire Department’s Facebook page. “We are working to resolve the situation, but your safety is our priority.
