2 Men Dead In Violent Street Fight In Hartford, ID's Released: Police: UPDATE

Two men in their 30s were killed, and a 17-year-old was wounded after the melee, Hartford police said.

HARTFORD, CT — Violence erupted in the city Wednesday night, resulting in two dead and a teenager wounded.

The Hartford Police Department is investigating a double homicide after a fight on Madison Street left two men dead and a teenager wounded.

The HPD, on Thursday morning, identified the two men killed as being Troylon Cooper, 36, of Manchester, and Bryan Santiago, 30, of Hartford.

Officers responded to the area of 135 Madison St. following reports of a large fight in the roadway, according to the HPD.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man in his 30s suffering from an apparent stab wound. Officers began CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

While officers were at the scene, police learned that two additional victims from the same incident had arrived at an area hospital in a private vehicle.

One of those victims, a man in his 30s, had sustained a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead, police said.

A third victim, a 17-year-old male, also suffered a gunshot wound and is listed in stable condition.

The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions have taken over the investigation.
