Hartford Nonprofit Hopes To Plant 400 Trees Across City
KNOX is raising money to purchase and plant nearly 400 trees across Hartford before the fall planting season ends.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford nonprofit KNOX is seeking donations to help purchase and plant nearly 400 trees across the city this fall, an effort the organization says would be one of its largest planting initiatives in years.
KNOX Executive Director Patrick Doyle said the organization is working with partners to take advantage of the relatively short fall planting season before winter arrives.
The nonprofit's green jobs apprentices and horticulture team expect to plant as many as 10 to 15 trees per day during the effort.
