Main Street Murder: Hartford Man Charged In 2025 Killing
Hartford police took into custody a 20-year-old suspect on Tuesday for a September 2025 fatal shooting.

HARTFORD, CT — Police in Hartford have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in September 2025 on Main Street, authorities said.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting on Sept. 27, 2025, in the area of 3340 Main St. found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Isaiah Ahkeen-Molina, 20, of Hartford, was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, detectives identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant approved by a Superior Court judge, police said.
Tuesday evening, April 21, members of the Hartford Police Patrol Division located the suspect, Jayshawn Johnson, 20, of Hartford, and took him into custody without incident.

He was transported to the Hartford Police Detention Facility for processing.
Johnson is charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, carrying a pistol without a permit, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
His bond was set at $1.25 million, police said.
Johnson is expected to face arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of the shooting or a possible motive.
