Downed Wire Closes Road In Madison: Police

The temporary closure was announced Friday afternoon.

MADISON, CT — A portion of Durham Road in Madison was temporarily closed on Friday due to a downed live electrical wire, according to police.

The temporary closure was in the area of 1928 Durham Road, and motorists were advised to use Summer Hill Road to County Road as a detour.

"Please use caution, avoid the area, and never approach downed electrical wires," Madison police wrote on Facebook. "We will provide updates as they become available."
