• Moped Rider Seriously Hurt In Buckland Hills Crash (patch.com) — A 35-year-old moped rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a Thursday night collision with a car near 1520 Pleasant Valley Road by the Plaza at Buckland Hills in Manchester. Pleasant Valley Road was temporarily closed, and police are asking any witnesses to contact Officer Nicholas Sinopoli at 860-533-8620 as they continue investigating.
   

• FEMA awards millions to emergency responders throughout Connecticut (wtnh.com) — Manchester is set to receive nearly $126,000 in FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant funding specifically for firefighter training, part of a broader $3.8 million awarded across Connecticut. This investment will help local crews strengthen skills and readiness while neighboring towns upgrade equipment, vehicles, and safety gear to better respond when emergencies strike.
