• New Vision Sign With Papercut Recordings, Release 'I Am A Muse' (themosh.net) — Hudson Valley post‑hardcore band New Vision is bringing their new single "I Am A Muse" and high‑energy live show to Grace's Place in Meriden on November 6. The group recently signed with Papercut Recordings, co‑founded by members of Brand Of Sacrifice and Fit For A King. Fans of modern rock and hardcore can catch them alongside other tour stops across the Northeast.
   

• Middlebury man charged with federal fraud, money laundering (bee-news.com) — Federal prosecutors say a former executive director of the Meriden Housing Authority is charged with wire fraud and money laundering tied to a multimillion‑dollar loan allegedly taken out without board approval. Investigators allege he diverted some funds for personal use and used Groton Housing Authority money to help service the debt. He has pleaded not guilty and is free on bond pending trial.
   

• CT man accused of stealing, forging checks from local business and paying juvenile to deposit them (courant.com) — A Wallingford check‑fraud investigation has led to charges against a 23‑year‑old East Granby man and a juvenile, after police say business checks stolen from the mail were forged and funneled through multiple accounts. The adult suspect is free on bond and due in Meriden Superior Court on October 7. Residents are reminded how vulnerable mailed business checks can be to theft and fraud schemes.
