• Naugatuck-Based CPA Gets Prison Time For Tax Evasion (patch.com) — A 72-year-old Middlebury resident who worked as a CPA in nearby Naugatuck has been sentenced to three months in federal prison for tax evasion. Prosecutors say he hid substantial business income over several years, causing more than $400,000 in tax losses, which he has since repaid, though interest and penalties remain.
