• 5 state park swimming areas off limits (wfsb.com) — Swimming is currently off limits at Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middlefield due to elevated indicator bacteria following recent heavy rains. Several other Connecticut state park swim areas are also closed, though the parks themselves remain open for hiking and other recreation while DEEP continues daily water quality testing.
