Brad Pitt Sighted In Middletown ... Dog With Famous Name Home Safe After Wandering Adventure

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown dog named Brad Pitt found himself on an unexpected adventure after escaping his home and wandering down Millbrook Road this week, according to Middletown Animal Control.

"Brad Pitt apparently managed to let himself out of his home unnoticed and soon made several new friends, including two Connecticut State Police troopers," Middletown Animal Control Officials said.

A passerby helped secure the dog by pulling a leash from a vehicle and leaving Brad with the troopers until animal control officers arrived. Animal Control said it does not know the person's identity and would like to return the leash. The person can contact Middletown Animal Control at 860-638-4030.

"Fortunately, Brad had a microchip with current registration information, allowing Animal Control to quickly identify his owner," Animal Control officials said. "He was reunited with his family within 10 minutes of officers' arrival."

Animal Control described Brad as a friendly, good-natured dog and thanked everyone who helped bring him home safely.

"Thankfully, Brad had a microchip (with a current registration!)," Animal Control officials said. "We wish they were all this easy."
