The 1,222-square-foot unit at 234 South Main St. offers exposed beams, brick walls, updated mechanicals, and modern amenities like central air and a remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
   

2. Middletown Fourth of July parade finally steps off after heat delay (nbcconnecticut.com) — Middletown finally held its Fourth of July parade on Labor Day, filling Main Street with marchers, spectators, and local businesses after extreme heat forced a July postponement. Residents, officials, and vendors said the cooler weather and delayed date still made for a strong community celebration that highlighted Middletown's downtown and local spirit.
   

3. USA: 'Aunt Says 7-Year-Old Found What Appears to Be Marijuana in a Happy Meal Toy' (cannabislaw.report) — A Middletown family says a 7-year-old found what looked like marijuana inside a toy from a Happy Meal bought at the South Main Street McDonald's. The aunt immediately took the toy, contacted Middletown Police, and officers collected it, while relatives emphasized the child never ingested the material and was not harmed.
   

4. Fishin' Factory 3-NE Freshwater (thefisherman.com) — Anglers around Middletown are finding strong late-summer action, with Fishin' Factory 3 reporting good largemouth bass catches nearby and excellent catfishing in the Connecticut River at Harbor Park. Local fishers are also seeing nighttime crappie and daytime white perch bites in area coves as they start asking about upcoming autumn trout stocking.
   

5. Connecticut just approved $1.9 billion in bonding. Here's what that covers (middletownpress.com) — State officials just approved $1.9 billion in bonding, including $900,000 for Middletown to buy new restroom facilities as part of dozens of local projects. The package also funds school construction, transportation upgrades, housing programs, and park improvements statewide, shaping infrastructure and public amenities that Middletown residents will see in coming years.
