The Shoreline Jazz Quartet (Cyril D'Souza-Alto and Soprano Saxophones, Steve Roane-Bass, Mike Bimonte-Drums, Rich Meyers-Vibraphone) presents a concert celebrating the music of Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans. Thelonious Monk's angular and dissonant approach to playing and composing was remarkable and unique. His compositions such as 'Straight No Chaser' and 'Round Midnight' are cornerstones of Jazz pedagogy. Bill Evans was a lyrical pianist whose legacy included swinging and original renditions of standards as well as his own compositions such as 'Waltz for Debby'.
