Obituary: Diane R. Grace, age 92

Diane M. Rogers Grace, known by almost everyone as Maha, born September 3, 1933 in Milford, died peacefully on July 12, 2026. The daughter of Harold Proctor Rogers and Lucille Mazeau Rogers and long-time Stratford resident, she was raised on Rivercliff Avenue in Devon, attended Milford High School and the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. Diane was married for over 65 years to Thomas Harrington Grace and had six sons and one daughter. She finished her long nursing career at Bullard-Havens Technical High School, where she delighted in the vitality and activity of the students. A true extrovert, she was energized by her involvement with people, causes, and ideas- Square One Theatre, the Gaelic-American Club in Fairfield, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, among many others.
She is preceded in death by her sister Constance, her sons Thomas Jr, and Jeremiah, and husband Thomas. She is survived by her sons Patrick, Paul (Peter), Mark, Daniel (Lorraine) and daughter Catherine (John), and nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date.
