Thomas K. Williams, age 75, of Milford, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026

Thomas Kenneth Williams Sr., 75, of Milford, passed away on September 11, 2026. Thom was born in Milford on April 21, 1951, moments after his twin brother Ken, and was the son of the late Kenneth and Rose (Salcito) Williams. Within the next few years, his sisters Geraldine and Diana followed.

Growing up steps from Long Island Sound, in a neighborhood populated with many families with similarly-aged children, the Williams kids had an adventurous and happy childhood. Thom was always pleased that many of these childhood friends are still his closest friends today.

Thom attended Kay Avenue Elementary School, graduated from Jonathan Law High School, and then entered the workforce as a sporting goods salesman at Alling Rubber Company at the Connecticut Post, Clampett’s in Fairfield, and eventually, The Milford Sports Shop in Milford Center. After a hard day of work, he stopped for a milkshake and was charmed by the young lady working at Carvel. Many milkshakes later, he and the former Debbie Bennett were married, and they recently, happily celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Three children later (Thomas, Jr., Jennifer, and Edward), Thom began his 30-year career as a FedEx courier. Despite the long hours, he found time to coach his kids’ sports teams and just be a fun and involved dad, whether it was pitching wiffleball, playing pool basketball, or a Sunday afternoon football game in the yard.

Retirement brought many golfing days at Grassy Hill Country Club, often with some of those same childhood friends and frequent trips to the casinos with his dear friend, Michael. Retirement also brought his beloved grandson, Eddie, and their many hours of fun times together, soccer games, and karate competitions.

Unfortunately, a short but dreadful battle with Lewy body dementia took Thom from our world.

Thom is survived by his cherished wife, Debbie, his children Thomas Williams, Jr. (Eve Chu), Jennifer (Nacho) Ochoa, and Edward Williams, and his grandson, Edward Ochoa. He also leaves his brother, Ken (Joan) Williams, and sister, Geraldine (Allan) Brown, as well as his nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his sister, Diana Battista, and his parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday September 18th, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cody-White Funeral Home located at 107 Broad Street in Milford.
