Shoe Drive Fundraiser Extended!

The Monroe Lions Club EXTENDS the shoe drive fundraiser to THURSDAY, MAY 21, 2026, to raise funds for the TOWN OF MONROE FOOD PANTRY and the MONROE LIONS CLUB’S MASUK HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP for graduating Masuk High School seniors. The Monroe Lions Club will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used, and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at the following locations:

·Board of Ed @ Monroe Elementary School

·Masuk High School

·Mr. Mac’s

·Monroe Congregational Church

·St. Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church

·Edith Wheeler Memorial Library's upstairs entrance

·Jennie’s Pizza Restaurant

·Colonial Cleaners

"We are excited about our shoe drive," said Frank Bent, President, Monroe Lions Club. "We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for the Monroe Food Pantry and for the Monroe Lions Club’s Scholarships, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It's a win-win for everyone.”
