• 2 Monroe Residents Charged After Young Children Left Home Alone Overnight (patch.com) — Monroe police say two local residents face child endangerment charges after allegedly leaving a 10-year-old and 5-year-old home alone overnight while traveling to New York. The older child reportedly sought help from neighbors around 3 a.m., prompting a police response, notification of the state Department of Children and Families, and subsequent arrests on warrants. Both suspects turned themselves in to Monroe police and were scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
