Firefighters also contained spilled vehicle fluids and cleared heavy debris, while officials have not yet released details on injuries or the cause of the collision.

All three Monroe volunteer fire companies and neighboring departments battled the blaze for hours in an area without hydrants. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Monroe Police Department Detective Division.

Masuk Unified Sports Team: 'We are a family' (themonroesun.com) — Masuk High School's Unified Sports team in Monroe has kicked off its fall season, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and inclusion as students practice soccer and cornhole together. Coach Donald Casey Jr. says athletes and partners are building a family-like atmosphere while preparing for a November Unified Sports cornhole tournament in Southbury, highlighting Monroe students' commitment to respect and connection.
