• Statement from First Selectman Tesoro Regarding Proposed Development Near Trumbull-Monroe Town Line (trumbull-ct.gov) — A major high‑density housing proposal at 1, 7, and 15 Main Street in Monroe is now before the town's Planning & Zoning Commission, and neighbors are being urged to stay informed and involved. Residents of Monroe and nearby Trumbull can speak at public hearings or submit comments by mail or email, and may later appeal the commission's decision in Superior Court with legal counsel if needed.

• Masuk swimmers win on road after raising awareness on Think Pink night (themonroesun.com) — Masuk High's girls swim and dive team, based in Monroe, is racking up wins while also spotlighting breast cancer awareness through a recent Think Pink night with Monroe Think Pink. The Panthers dominated meets against Bunnell, Stratford, and New Milford, with many swimmers posting season‑best times and several already qualifying for conference and state championships.
