• Ambulance services ready with backup plans as Gold Star Bridge construction continues (nbcconnecticut.com) — Mystic River Ambulance crews are adjusting routes to keep patients moving quickly to care while Gold Star Bridge construction threatens to slow traffic to New London hospitals. Backup plans include diverting to Pequot Health Center in Groton, Westerly Hospital, or Backus Hospital in Norwich when needed. Leaders stress that while routes may change, emergency care for Mystic residents will not be compromised.
