• Connecticut's Mystic Aquarium helps plan beluga rescues from a closed park (ctpost.com) — Mystic residents should know their hometown aquarium is lending its veterinary and animal-care expertise to a major international effort to safely relocate beluga whales from the closed Marineland park in Niagara Falls. While none of those belugas will come to Mystic, aquarium staff helped design the transport plans and recently welcomed Nunavik, a 16-year-old male beluga, from Georgia Aquarium.
