Car Hits Business In Naugatuck, Fire Officials Say
Firefighters were also busy responding to a residential fire too.
NAUGATUCK, CT — The fire department was busy on Saturday as a car struck the Family Dollar store and crews also battled a shed fire, officials said.
Naugatuck fire, police, and EMS responded at 2:40 PM for a car hitting the Family Dollar store on Bridge Street, fire officials said.
WTNH News 8 reported that the driver, who was taken to the hospital, was issued a summons for drinking while driving. (Read more at News 8).

"While assisting EMS we received a 911 call for a shed fire behind 19 West Hill Terrace," officials said.
The fire was reported in one shed and extended to an adjacent shed, rear deck, and rear of the house, officials said.

"Fire extinguished with minor damage to the exterior of the home-occupants are not displaced," officials said. "Heat damage to siding noted on two condominium units at 627 Millville Avenue."
No injuries were reported, and the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
