• 5 state park swimming areas off limits (wfsb.com) — Swimming is temporarily off-limits at Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield after state tests found elevated indicator bacteria, though the park itself remains open for other activities. Several other Connecticut state park swim areas are also affected following recent heavy rains, and DEEP is monitoring water quality daily before reopening.
