When was the last time you tested your water?
UConn Extension, in partnership with the New Canaan Conservation Commission, is offering reduced-cost well water testing for residents of Fairfield County and surrounding areas. Even if your water looks and tastes fine, it may not be safe to drink.
A comprehensive well water test, normally valued at $350, is available for $235 (cash or check). Tests include coliform bacteria, lead, arsenic, uranium, nitrates, sodium, chloride, fluoride, pH, hardness, sulfate, turbidity, iron, and manganese.
