New Canaan Weekend Guide: Waveny Arts Festival And An Autumn Stroll At Grace Farms

NEW CANAAN, CT — Waveny Park is the place to be in New Canaan this weekend, from Thursday, Oct. 8, through Sunday, Oct. 11, with a four-night run of "Rounding Third" at the Powerhouse Theatre and a free arts festival on Sunday, while Grace Farms invites visitors on a guided autumn walk.

- Autumn Stroll — Saturday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to noon. The Grace Farms Garden Team leads a casual-paced walk through the landscape to look for seasonal change and wildlife; it costs $15, or $12 for members, and the uneven terrain is not suitable for strollers, wheelchairs or walkers. - 4th Annual Waveny Arts Festival — Sunday, Oct. 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. About 50 artists and artisans sell photography, jewelry, painting, ceramics, textiles and more, alongside a Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace, bluegrass from the Parkway Ramblers, the New Canaan Town Brass, dance performances and food trucks including Mobile Pie, Taco Tequila and So Fresh Doughnuts; admission is free.
