2-Day Planned Event Leads To Public Safety Announcement By New Haven Police

NEW HAVEN, CT — The New Haven Police Department said it is aware of a planned event advertised as the "End of the Summer Ride Out," taking place on Aug. 28, and 29.

"We are asking members of the public not to engage with, confront, or attempt to intervene with riders if you encounter the group," police said. "Your safety is our priority."

"If you witness illegal activity, reckless driving, dangerous operation of motorcycles, property damage, or any other criminal conduct, please call the New Haven Police Department and report what you observe," police said. "Do not put yourself at risk by attempting to confront individuals."

Police said they will be monitoring the situation.
