Motorcyclist Suffered Life-Threatening Injuries After Striking CTtransit Bus Wednesday Night: NHPD

The motorcycle operator traveled around cars and struck the bus at the intersection of Columbus and Union avenues, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT—A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Wednesday night crash with a CTtransit bus at the intersection of Columbus and Union Avenues, officials said.

Police and fire responded to the crash at around 8:45 p.m.

The motorcyclist drove around vehicles and struck the bus, which was making the turn at the Columbus and Union intersection, New Haven police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart confirmed.

The New Haven Fire Department responded, and the driver was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, police said.
