With officials specifically inviting New Haven businesses to open outlets and promising a more comfortable commute, the project will reshape daily travel and job opportunities for city residents.
   

2. 15 displaced after fire on Liberty Street in New Haven (wtnh.com) — Fifteen residents were displaced Wednesday afternoon after a house fire on Liberty Street in New Haven, though firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 45 minutes and reported no injuries.
