Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Hit-And-Run Crash: New Haven Police

Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle, police said.

At 9:54 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a pedestrian struck in the area of Whalley Avenue and Blake Street.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the area, police said. Police found a 47-year-old New Haven woman who was suffering from numerous injuries, police said.

She was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police found the vehicle involved in the crash parked a mile away. Police are seeking the identity of the driver.
