Newington Library To Launch Crime & Cardigans Club Nov. 12

The first meeting for adults will feature trivia and planning for future gatherings. Registration is required.

Newington's Lucy Robbins Welles Library will launch Crime & Cardigans with a first meeting Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to the town's announcement and library event page. The program is for adults and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The library describes the gathering as a casual meet-and-greet for amateur sleuths, with a trivia game and discussion of future meeting ideas. Participants will consider books, podcasts and documentaries as possible topics.

Registration is required and opened Saturday, Oct. 24. Readers can register through the library's event page, which listed 13 available seats. The form requests a name, email address and phone number, with space to identify assistive technology needs.

The event page labels the meeting as in person in the Community Room. However, it also includes a conflicting notice describing an online event with a link emailed after registration, leaving the format unclear.
