NEW LONDON, CT — Police said a bomb threat made to New London High School has been deemed not credible.

Police responded to the bomb threat Friday at 1:39 p.m.

Emergency personnel investigated in coordination with school district officials.

The threat was determined to be not credible, and the school was deemed safe. No explosive devices were found, and no injuries were reported, according to police.

"The safety of our students and community is our top priority," Police Chief Brian M. Wright said in a statement. "We responded swiftly and thoroughly to ensure everyone's safety."

Investigation into the threat is ongoing. Police noted that bomb threats are "serious criminal offenses that will be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law."
