ā¢ New Trash Authority Becomes Operational (nornow.org) ā Norfolkās trash will now be handled through a new regional authority using the Torrington Transfer Station, marking a major shift since the Hartford waste-to-energy plant closed. Town leaders are weighing whether this startup system, backed by state funding but facing volume concerns, will be financially sustainable for Norfolk and its neighbors.
