‘Disruption’ To Water Supply Reported In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The North Haven Fire Department is monitoring a “disruption to the water supply affecting the Montowese section of town,” according to officials.

“We are actively working with the Regional Water Authority and United Illuminating to identify the cause and determine the extent of the issue,” officials wrote in a post on the North Haven Fire Department’s Facebook page. “As a precaution, additional fire suppression personnel have been recalled and are reporting for duty to ensure the Department maintains an appropriate level of emergency response capability should a fire or other emergency occur while the water supply is affected.

“We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide additional information to the public as it becomes available.”
