Obituary: Neil P. Wetmore Sr. (Porto Funeral Homes)

Neil P. Wetmore Sr., 45, of East Haven, beloved husband of Roseanne Hall Wetmore, passed away on August 1, 2026 at his home. Loving father of Neil P. Wetmore Jr. of East Haven. Brother of the late Robert B. (Melty) Wetmore IV. Neil was born in New Haven on July 15, 1981 son of Robert and Ruth Pierson Wetmore III of East Haven. Neil was employed as the sexton at the First Congregational Church of Branford, faithfully caring for the church and its grounds. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served during the Afghanistan War.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at the First Congregational Church of Branford on SATURDAY morning, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will be conducted immediately following the service.
