• Connecticut rail project aims to cut 25 minutes from New Haven-NYC trips (newstimes.com) — A massive, years-long rail upgrade program aims to cut New Haven–New York City train trips by about 25 minutes, and it includes replacing the Connecticut River rail bridge between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme. While most work centers on tracks and bridges near Stratford and Bridgeport, Old Lyme riders and shoreline neighbors can expect major investment in the local span by 2030–31.
