• Ridgefield Wetlands Board To Review Carriage House Drive Work, Bennetts Farm Road Violations (patch.com) — Ridgefield residents are being briefed on several Inland Wetlands Board matters, including proposed septic and driveway work and a tree-clearing violation on Carriage House Drive, and unapproved activity on Bennetts Farm Road. The Zoom meeting will also take up new applications for a Spring Valley Road garage, a Holmes Road home addition, and a planting bond release on Florida Road, all affecting local wetlands oversight.
   

• Ridgefield Gas Prices Rise as Connecticut Average Tops US Rate (patch.com subscription) — Ridgefield drivers are currently paying about $4.14 per gallon for regular gas, nearly identical to the statewide average and higher than both New England and national prices. Recent reports list Stateline Exxon at $4.15 and Shell on Danbury Road at $4.13, with prices still fluctuating based on oil markets and local demand.
   

• UB40 announces The Unstoppable Tour (themusicuniverse.com) — UB40 is bringing its Unstoppable Tour to Ridgefield Playhouse on September 29, giving local fans a chance to hear hits like "Red Red Wine" live. The tour spans 40 North American dates through mid-November, featuring the band's classic lineup and newer material ahead of a planned 2027 album.
