• 14 Restaurant Companies Among 37 New Rocky Hill Businesses Registered In September (patch.com) — Rocky Hill saw 37 new business registrations in September, including 14 similarly named limited-service restaurant companies tied to local street names and sharing a Sunset Ridge address. Other additions range from real estate firms and a mobile food business to a new diner, market, nail salon, and dental office on well-traveled town roads.
   

• Martha Stewart's new restaurant among nominees for Connecticut's CRAZIES food awards (newstimes.com) — Rocky Hill's Ani's Table & Marketplace is in the running for a 2026 CRAZIES hospitality award, putting a local business on a statewide stage. The Connecticut Restaurant & Hospitality Association will honor finalists at Foxwoods in December, with public voting open through November. Several other restaurants and hotels across Connecticut are also recognized.
   

• East Hartford woman accused of defrauding Medicaid of $18K (ctinsider.com) — Rocky Hill officials say a 52-year-old East Hartford caregiver was arrested on charges of defrauding Connecticut's Medicaid program of more than $18,000 while working in overlapping caregiver roles. Investigators allege she billed for personal care assistant hours while already paid through a Medicaid waiver program. She's free on $25,000 bond and due in Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 8.
