Decision Made On Classes At Shelton, Derby Public Schools For Feb. 24

SHELTON-DERBY, CT — Shelton and Derby public schools will be closed Tuesday following a major snowstorm that impacted the region Sunday into Monday afternoon, the district announced Monday evening.

According to the district's website, Shelton Public Schools will be closed Feb. 24 due to snow.

Derby Public Schools also announced on the district's website schools will be closed Feb. 24 "due to continued [snow] cleanup efforts."

A major winter storm battered the region for most of Sunday and into Monday afternoon, with heavy snow and strong wind gusts.
