Man Stole Laptop From Restaurant: Shelton Police

Police said they had responded to the local restaurant for a reported larceny investigation.

SHELTON, CT — A Hamden man is accused of stealing a laptop from a Shelton restaurant, police said.

On April 30, Shelton Police responded to CAVA on Bridgeport Avenue for a reported larceny involving a stolen laptop, police said.

The investigation was assigned to the Shelton Police Detective Bureau, with Detective John McMahon serving as the case officer.

Through investigative efforts, Anthony Martinez, 39, of Hamden, was identified as the suspect, and an arrest warrant was authorized, police said.

On May 28, with assistance from the Hamden Police Department, Martinez was located and taken into custody without incident, police said.

Martinez was charged with fourth-degree larceny and given a $10,000 bond.
