• Missing 73-Year-Old Man Found Dead, Shelton Police Investigating: PD (patch.com) — Shelton police say a 73-year-old resident reported missing earlier this month was found dead Monday after an extensive multi-agency search. Investigators, including the state medical examiner, are still determining what happened, and police are thanking Shelton-area agencies, volunteers and neighbors whose help was crucial throughout the difficult search.
   

• Shelton firefighters rescue driver trapped in overturned truck, officials say (sheltonherald.com) — Firefighters in Shelton cut through the roof of an overturned pickup on Bridgeport Avenue Wednesday afternoon to free a trapped driver. Emergency crews stabilized the vehicle, removed the roof with hydraulic tools, and transported the sole occupant to a local facility for evaluation after the roadway was briefly closed.
