William David Toth, Sr., 87 of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. William was born in Bridgeport, CT, on October 21, 1938 to the late William D. Toth and Lydia A. Janulewit Toth. He was the beloved husband of the late CarolAnn Robinson Toth.

William worked as a draftsman for US motors, Pratt and Whitney, Sikorsky, and Avco-Lycoming. His career reached its pinnacle when he began work for Pitney Bowes serving as a Senior Design engineer and inventor for more than 35 years until his retirement. He was always excited to tell stories about his involvement with the team who invented the rescue crane of helicopters, while working at Sikorsky’s. William was also a founding member, as well as a Sunday school superintendent at the Milford Community Church, formerly known as the Berean Assembly of God. He then joined the New Life Community Church in the early 1980’s where he attended until his passing.

After retirement, William spent time with his beloved wife traveling by car visiting various sites in New England. Mostly, he spent time tinkering with various projects around the home. One of his favorite pastimes was working on cars and repairing anything he could. Sometimes, he would just enjoy taking something apart to figure out how it worked. William enjoyed singing in the choir at church, playing the trumpet and has marched on the field with the Yale Band at a Yale football game. In his early retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking them to lunch and dinner and driving them to school.
