'Yellow Water From Sediment' Reported In Shelton: Huntington Fire Co. 3
Huntington Fire Co. 3 officials said Wednesday yellow water from sediment has been reported "throughout most of the Shelton water system."
SHELTON, CT — Yellow water from sediment reported Wednesday morning in Shelton is currently being investigated, according to Huntington Fire Co. 3.
In a Facebook post around 9:30 a.m., Huntington Fire Co. officials said Aquarion Water Company "is reporting yellow water from sediment throughout most of the Shelton water system - most likely from high demand spike."
According to Huntington Fire Co. officials, the water company is investigating and plans to send out an announcement about it "as soon as they can."

In an email to Patch around 11 a.m., Aquarion Spokesperson Peter Fazekas confirmed some Shelton customers were experiencing discolored water "due to high water demands."
Fazekas also noted the water company's crews are currently flushing hydrants in the city.
