SIMSBURY, CT — One resident and business owner is wearing her heart on her sleeve as she raises money this year to help in the battle against heart disease.

Simsbury business owner and resident Jennifer Berry has been named one of Connecticut’s “Women of Impact” by the American Heart Association, launching a national fundraising effort to support women’s heart health.

Berry is participating in the association’s Go Red for Women campaign, which raises awareness and funds to combat heart disease, the leading cause of death among women.
