1 Dead In House Fire In Bristol: Reports
Firefighters first believed the house was vacant. Then they found a person in the kitchen area, officials said.
BRISTOL, CT — A person has died after a house fire in Bristol on Saturday, according to reports.
A Bristol City plow driver reported the fire at 8:26 a.m. on 261 Perkins St. Arriving firefighters found a working basement fire.
Firefighters first thought the house was vacant. Then they found a person in the kitchen area, according to the Bristol Fire Department. He was removed from the house, and Bristol EMS began rendering aid.

The person later succumbed to their injuries, Fire Chief Richard Hart told the New Haven Register. Their identity has not been released as of this writing.
The fire was substantially extinguished by just after 9 a.m., officials said.
