Southington FD Issues Post-Storm Warning About Exterior Vents

The SFD says it has been besieged this week with building incidents involving dangerous buildups of natural gas and carbon monoxide.

SOUTHINGTON, CT —Local firefighters say they've been besieged with several carbon monoxide and natural gas incidents since the snowstorm.

According to the Southington Fire Department, these problems are caused by blocked exterior vents.

As a result, the SPD is urging property owners to clear the snow away from any vents to their homes and/or buildings.
