The appointments are effective July 1, according to Stamford Public Schools.
STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Board of Education voted Tuesday night to approve the appointments of Lisa Saba-Price as assistant superintendent for elementary and Matthew Laskowski as assistant superintendent for secondary. Both appointments are effective July 1.
In these roles, Saba-Price and Laskowski will supervise and evaluate principals, collaborate with the Teaching & Learning Department to implement best instructional practices, work with the chief financial officer and the superintendent to ensure equitable budgets and staffing at all school sites, and monitor and support efforts to ensure that all students are achieving high academic standards.
"As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I am focused on building a leadership team that will support our principals, empower our educators, and keep students at the center of every decision," said incoming Superintendent Dr. Adrian Talley in an announcement from the district. "These appointments reflect a thoughtful and thorough selection process with input from teachers, staff, parents, community members, and the Board of Education. I am confident that Mrs. Saba-Price and Mr. Laskowski will work collaboratively with our school and central office administrators to support and advance the District’s goals."
