• New CFO Appointed For Stamford Public Schools (patch.com) — Stamford residents will soon see a new face overseeing the public school district's finances, as Benjamin Chan has been appointed chief financial officer for Stamford Public Schools starting Sept. 8. He'll manage budgeting, procurement, transportation, and food services while bringing extensive experience from education and private-sector finance to help navigate the district's financial challenges.
   

• Father of Stamford homicide victim expresses shock, disgust at news of retrial (stamfordadvocate.com) — A father is speaking out in Stamford after the Connecticut Supreme Court ordered a new trial for the man previously convicted in his son's 2019 shooting death on Garden Street. The court ruled key gunshot residue evidence was improperly admitted, even though video and phone records placed the defendant near the scene before and after the killing.
