Break Thru Fitness & Connectitcut Krav Maga

Enjoy the peaceful and rejuvenating energy of this 60-minute class, accessible to all levels and abilities, as you relax your body and mind, strengthen muscles and joints, and increase vitality. We’ll start with about 45 minutes of chair yoga, including breath-work, followed by 10 minutes of gentle standing flow (with chair only option available) to improve mind-body coordination and balance. We’ll finish with a guided relaxation.
Mondays 4:45-5:45pm. $25
Zoom attendance can be arranged as well.

On Election Day, St. Francis Historic Church in North Stamford will be open all day for Prayer, with Holy Eucharist at Noon
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, the Historic Church, 503 Old Long Ridge Road, will be open throughout the day as a sacred space for prayer, quiet reflection, and contemplation. A Eucharistic service will be held at noon. We will keep vigil in the church until the polls close at 8 p.m., with prayers and readings offered at various times throughout the day. In this election season, we invite you to step away from the noise, rest in God's presence, and pray for our country, our communities, and all who seek to serve the common good. Whether you stay for a few minutes or linger in silence, all are welcome. May this be a day when we remember that, whatever our differences, we are called to love our neighbors, seek justice, and be instruments of God's peace.

Internationally acclaimed British organist Richard Gowers comes to Stamford for a special recital at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Tuesday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.
Gowers is Director of Music at St. George’s, Hanover Square in London, the historic church closely associated with George Frideric Handel. There is a special connection between his musical home in London and St. John’s: both churches are home to organs built by Richards, Fowkes &amp; Co.
At St. John’s, Gowers will perform on the church’s celebrated Richards, Fowkes &amp; Co. Opus 5, an instrument known well beyond Stamford for its distinctive sound and craftsmanship.
Gowers has established an international career as an organist, pianist, conductor, and musical director, performing in major venues around the world. His Stamford appearance offers a rare opportunity to hear one of Britain’s leading musicians in the intimate setting of St. John’s.
