What Happens If You End Up Arrested During The 4th Of July Long Holiday Weekend?

Local Connecticut bondsman urges those with active warrants to take action before the America 250th holiday weekend. The United States of America is celebrating 250 years of freedom, wearing the red and blue stripes proudly. However, others may miss the celebration when the red and blue colors of police lights flash and take their freedom away.

Why are local bondsmen urging people with warrants to take action before the historic 250th anniversary of independence?

Long holiday weekends are known for high police presence across the nation. If you have an active warrant or suspect a possible outstanding order to arrest, you should contact the arresting agency or bail bondsman in the area to get the bail amount and arrange funds to clear it.

If arrested for some reason during the long holiday, defendants will have a long stay at a small local jail within the city of the arrest, unless they pay the bail amount and get released. For women arrested in small towns, unfortunately, they may be transferred as “temporary surrenders” to the state women's prison in Niantic. In some big city jails like Hartford, New Haven, or Bridgeport, they may do the same with male defendants. Hartford Correctional is the main prison for those arrested in Hartford County.

Being arrested any day is challenging, but on long weekends like the 4th of July, with banks closed and limited time to post bail, the criminal process can quickly turn a working-class person into an inmate.
