2. 4 Stamford restaurants, 1 market cited for serious violations during July health inspections (stamfordadvocate.com) — Stamford health inspectors cited four restaurants and one market for serious food safety violations during July, including issues with food temperatures, hand-washing, and equipment cleanliness. Owners say most problems were fixed immediately, and inspectors offered guidance on cooling, labeling, and sanitation so local diners can better understand how these establishments are working to stay compliant.
   

3. Revolut Clears Key US Banking Hurdle With Conditional OCC Approval (coincodex.com) — Revolut just cleared a key federal hurdle to base its new US national bank in Stamford, potentially bringing up to 160 jobs and a $95 million investment to the city by 2027. The fintech still needs FDIC, Federal Reserve, and final OCC approvals before offering checking, cards, loans, and crypto services from its Stamford hub.
   

4. Christopher Lloyd (ign.com) — A Hollywood favorite has roots right in Stamford: Christopher Lloyd, famed for playing Doc Brown in Back to the Future, was born here in 1938 before growing up in nearby New Canaan and Westport. His long career spans Broadway, classic films, and television, making him one of the most accomplished performers to come out of coastal Connecticut.
