Back To School: Stratford 2026-27 School Calendar

STRATFORD, CT — Summer is starting to wind down as the first day of school in Stratford is quickly approaching.

Students will return to the classroom in Stratford Public Schools on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here’s a list of dates to know for this school year, according to the 2026-2027 district calendar:

• First day: Aug. 27
• Labor Day, no school: Sept. 7
• Yom Kippur, no school: Sept. 21
• Election Day / Staff PD, no school for students: Nov. 3
• Thanksgiving Break, no school: Nov. 26-27
• Winter Break, no school: Dec. 24 – Jan. 1
• Three Kings Day, no school: Jan. 6
• Martin Luther King Day, no school: Jan. 18
• Presidents’ Weekend, no school: Feb. 12, Feb. 15
• Eid al-Fitr, no school: March 10
• Staff Professional Development, no school for students: March 25
• Good Friday, no school: March 26
• Spring Break, no school: April 12-16
• Memorial Day, no school: May 31
• Projected Last Student Day: June 10
• Juneteenth: June 18 (observed)

Note: All inclement weather days will be added to the end of the school year. Should the number of inclement weather days extend beyond June 25, 2027, days will be taken from the April recess beginning with Monday, April 12, 2027.
