1. 2 Men Plead Guilty In Success Village Apartments Embezzlement Conspiracy In Stratford: Feds (patch.com) — Residents of Stratford's Success Village Apartments are learning more about a federal embezzlement case after two men pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit wire fraud tied to the cooperative. Prosecutors say vendors submitted inflated or bogus invoices, with hundreds of thousands of dollars allegedly diverted from payments tied to buildings and services that include Stratford units.
   

2. Stratford asks homeowners to prove residency for possible tax break through Homestead Act (ctpost.com) — Stratford homeowners are being asked to submit detailed paperwork by Dec. 31 to prove primary residency for a potential Homestead Act tax break that could cut assessed values by up to 35 percent. Mayor David Chess acknowledges privacy concerns but says the information is needed to prevent fraud and could save many residents thousands over the next few years.
   

3. Xavier sends fans home happy with 54-30 win over Stratford (wfsb.com) — Stratford High's football team fell 54-30 to Xavier on Friday night, despite a strong first-half drive capped by a Jayden Gaskin touchdown. The Red Devils are still searching for their first win, while Xavier improved to 2-0 with multiple big scoring plays.
   

4. U.S. Army orders 16 more UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters (defence-blog.com) — Sikorsky's Stratford plant has landed a $234.5 million U.S. Army contract modification to build 16 additional UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, with work running through June 30, 2028. The deal, part of a larger $356.3 million agreement, helps secure years of production work in Stratford while the Army also pursues related foreign sales and long-term fleet modernization.
